The basis of sentience itself
A drive stronger than mere survival
To strive for art, performance, beauty and expression
Without creativity we would be nothing
But creative, we are everything
An urge to be creative should never be treated lightly: it is vitally important to a sentient species. It is the result of our imagination, and if you are feeling the need for creative expression it is because your imagination has found freedom and needs to stretch its legs.
Art is the obvious creative activity, but human creative endeavour also includes writing, poetry, music, story telling, singing, adventuring, expanding your personality, cookery, looking good, helping others look good, photography, re-enactment, dance, dramatic performance....
But even when the urge makes itself felt, there can still be many blocks to creative flow, beyond the obvious acquisition of skills. Emotional blocks, fear, nervousness, lack of clear focus, these are all issues where coaching comes in, while at the next level up, inspiration is high on the agenda.
Don't be afraid of creativity, be afraid of stifling it. Follow your creative urges, nurture them, treasure them, feed them. They are the being in your human.
